In the process of a total tear-down with the exception of fish and gravel. I've removed all plants and decor. I would like redesign the layout but not sure what to do. I would like to get soe new decor but no money for that. So for now I may just do a different layout. Any ideas.

It's not expensive but just shows you where your money goes. This chart is just power and water from April 07 to today. I didn't post the chemecial and food costs, but it will track that too.

When applying a background I have found the best way is to:

 1. Cut background to fit

 2. Spray water with a sqirt bottle on the background and tank. (light mist not soaked with water)

 3. Use a credit card or object similar and push the air bubbles out of the background.

When you are done your background will be secure. The biggest benefit to this method is the background is much brighter and will bring a whole new look to your aquarium.

Aquatic Gardens Hanging Betta Bowl

While this product is a great concept for displaying your Betta, it is far too small for a betta for maintaining a happy and healthy environment. I encourage anyone who is interested in this product not to purchase this item, rather purchase an aquarium of ample size for proper care and health. A 5g for example.

When adding new fish to your tank you'll need to acclimate them.

1. Open the bag they came in and roll the top of the bag over three times. (This will allow the bag to float)

2. Float the bag for atleast 20mins (this will allow the fish to adjust to the water tempreture)

3. Slowly add water from the aquarium a little at a time for another 20mins. (this is so the fish can acclimate to the Ph change if any)

4. Drain some water from the bag (into a sink NOT the aquarium) and ...

Hatch brine shrimp (sold separately) continuously in your marine OR freshwater aquarium. Unique design means saltwater in the hatcher never mixes with aquarium water. Hatched shrimp simply swim out into your aquarium by their natural attraction to light, while fish guard keeps hungry mouths out. Includes: hatcher, 40" of airline tubing, measuring spoon for salt/shrimp eggs, cleaning brush, and holder with suction cup. Measures 2-1/4" x 4-3/4" x 8-1/4" high.
I'd like to share some info about this software I use to track events in my aquariums. It's called Aquarix 4.

I find it really helpful in tracking things like breeding sucess', water chemistry fluctuations, maintenance. It also helps me know how much my tanks cost me to run. And also tracks how much I make from a breedig success. Keeps track of my stock, plants. You should really check it out. There is a free demo.
